Our ambulatory services are based from Oakham Veterinary Hospital and cover a large catchment area including Rutland, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire.

Routine and out of hours emergency services

Routine services in normal working hours.

We cannot provide ambulatory out of hours emergency cover for these areas due to the distance from the hospital.

ambulatory web mapAppointments can be made Monday-Friday between 8am and 5.30pm. Visits are charged from three different central points (Oakham, Newark and Moulton) throughout the East Midlands. To make our service as efficient as possible we try to group local visits together to allow us to provide reduced visit fee’s to our clients. We will try to accommodate  requests for a specific vet but if an emergency call comes in, this is not always possible.

Our ambulatory team are all experienced vets and can provide a wide range of routine services at your premises. These include vaccinations, dentals, pre purchase examinations, import/export testing and reproduction work. We can also provide minor surgical procedures such as castrations and wolf teeth removal at your premises.

Our emergency service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days per year and includes a rotating team of vets, surgeons, interns and nurses. In the event of an emergency the ‘on call’ vet can provide prompt veterinary attention at your home. If your horse has a more serious condition it can quickly be referred and admitted to the hospital for specialist surgical or medicinal care.
