Emily graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2012, and quickly began a 2.5 year internship at the world renowned Newmarket Equine Hospital during which time she gained vast experience in imaging, anaesthesia and inpatient care. Upon completion of her internship she spent 9 months travelling the world which included a short time working for SPANA in Morocco. Upon returning to the UK, Emily spent 3 years working for a busy ambulatory equine practice in Nottinghamshire.
Since joining OVH in June 2018 she has developed her interest in diagnostic imaging and lameness evaluation. Emily has completed training in MRI acquisition and is looking forward to enhancing her knowledge in this area. Since her time working in Newmarket, she enjoys racehorse work and along with Alex Knott is heavily involved in looking after our racing clients.
Outside the hospital Emily is married to Matt (who is the OVH Equine Manager) and together they are kept busy producing and competing their homebred event horses. Emily has a 4yo, Betty, who will be out competing in young horse classes on the eventing circuit in 2020. When not working with horses Emily enjoys spending time with her whippet Mowgli and, when time allows, teaching Matt to ski!
