Nurse Clinics

We believe that all pets should be able to live long and happy lives without stress or discomfort. To help us make sure all your pets are happy and healthy we offer a range of FREE nurse clinics to regularly check your pet and to discuss any routine health care problems you may have.

The nurse clinics we currently offer are:

1.   WEIGHT WATCHERS

Many pets are overweight, so we recommend that you have your pet weighed and checked by a nurse every 3 months to make sure that it is the correct weight. If we find that your pet is overweight our nurses can give you help and advice in reducing the weight of your pet.

We all know it is hard to lose weight even when you are trying really hard, so our weight watchers clinics are designed to help you reduce the stress of getting your dog, cat or rabbit down to the appropriate weight.

2.   WEIGH & WORM

This is primarily aimed at puppies and kittens but we are happy to offer it to all our clients. We monthly check, weigh and worm (and flea) our puppies and kittens at the practice, up to the age of 6 months. This helps them socialise and get used to coming to the vets without anything bad happening to them. It also means that we can make sure your new pet is growing properly and gives you a chance to discuss any issues you have with our nurses.

3.   DENTAL CHECKS

Regular check ups of your pet's mouth can have lifelong benefits. Starting some form of home care for your pet's teeth early in their life will reduce gum and tooth disease.

Our nurses will look at your pet's mouth and advise on appropriate home care or even in-hospital dental treatment. They can give you advice on how to brush teeth and which chews or diets may be appropriate to improve or maintain mouth health.
