Oakham Veterinary Hospital - Veterinary Service in the Moulton Area
The Veterinary Clinic based at Moulton College that we have used as a base for the last year will no longer be run by Oakham Veterinary Hospital.
We will continue to provide the very highest level of veterinary care in the Moulton region for all our clients from Leisure Rider to Professional. This service will be ambulatory with your preferred veterinary surgeon visiting your yard Our visit fees will be calculated as before, based on the distance your yard is from Moulton (not Oakham). Any clients based at Moulton will be charged our lowest visit fee. Radiography, ultrasonography or endoscopy can now be provided at your premises. Those horses requiring more advanced diagnostics or treatment will then be referred to our Hospital at Oakham.
The advancement of mobile veterinary technology means that many previously hospital based examinations can now be performed on a client's yard to the same high standards as within our Hospital. As a result of our investment in this latest technology we are changing the way we work in the Moulton area from January 2010.
We are a clinical associate of The University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science. This partnership means that we have access to veterinary specialists within a wide range of disciplines including equine internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, cardiology and neurology. Our patients do not have to be referred to other hospitals for specialist treatment.
We will continue to work with Moulton's Equine Therapy Centre referring horses that require their therapy service, we have had exciting results by following surgical or medical treatment with rehabilitation at Moulton. Town and Country Vets will be based at the Moulton Clinic and this will no longer be part of Oakham Veterinary Hospital. Town and Country will be referring horses requiring advanced diagnostics and treatment to our Oakham Hospital.
